主讲人介绍:
Dr. Ernesto DR Santibanez Gonzalez is a Professor, Industrial Engineering Department, and the Executive Director and Founder Council of Industry-University, Universidad de Talca, Faculty of Engineering, Curicó, Chile. He is serving as the Associate Editor of Journal of Cleaner Production and Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing. He is also the Editorial Board member of Journal of Power Sources, and International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Dr. Santiba?ez-Gonzalez is the Managing Guest Editor for six Special Issues in ISI and Scopus journals including International Journal of Production Research, Sustainability, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Guest Editor for two Special Issues in ISI journals, including International Journal of Production Economics, Computers and Industrial Engineering. As Subject and Associate Editor Prof. Santibanez-Gonzalez has the responsibility to supervise the entire submission and review process of the manuscripts submitted to ISI journals including the final acceptance for publication of over 150 papers per year. This provides a broad and global vision of research trends, challenges and opportunities in many fields related to climate change, sustainability, environment, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, operations research, operations management to name a few. He is one of three Latin-American researchers with the highest responsibility and recognition in his research area. He is the founder Editor and is the only one researcher leading Operations Research, Operations Management and Decision Support approaches in a top one journal in the area of Sustainable Development. Current research of Prof. Santibanez-Gonzalez is characterized by integrating linear/no-linear mathematical models, game theory-based models, complex heuristics/metaheuristics, big-data, information systems and internet technology to understand and model how climate change and the required balance of economic, environmental and social issues will impact society, companies and organizations.
内容简介:
Two problems related to climate change strategies will be addressed during this presentation. Firstly, a strategy for reducing carbon dioxide (carbon) emissions by capturing and sequestering carbon is presented and a mathematical model is discussed to evaluate the impact of carbon pricing on the deployment of a carbon capture and storage pipeline network infrastructure. Secondly, closed-loop strategies to reduce waste and carbon missions are presented and it is discussed how the pricing of commodities and products in a multi-tier reverse supply chain will be impacted.
