报告人简介:

Dr. Oliver Yu is the Founder & CEO of the STARS Group, Co-Founder & Chairman of GA2000 LLP, and Co-Founder & Secretary of the International Society of Innovation Methods. With a career that includes roles as Director of Energy & Technology Strategies at SRI and Manager of Planning Analysis at EPRI, he holds advanced degrees from Taiwan University, Georgia Tech, and Stanford. Dr. Yu has published over 80 papers and 6 technical books. He has served as a Consulting Associate Professor at Stanford and has been an invited lecturer and keynote speaker at numerous international conferences. Focusing on innovation management in recent years, Dr. Yu organized a Global Innovation Forum in 2011, served as a Visiting Professor at Kyushu University in 2013, delivered a keynote speech at University of Muenster in Germany in 2014, and was elected as a Fellow of PICMET in 2015. He is also a board member of TEMS and organized the 2019 International Symposium on Innovation & Entrepreneurship in China.

报告内容简介:

This presentation will focus on a systematic approach and proven tools for enhancing creativity, with particular emphasis on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI). It will begin by addressing the main causes of the decline in creativity among adults, including social conditioning, risk aversion, cognitive rigidity, and skill deficiency. Then the systematic approach to enhancing creativity will be introduced and several proven tools for enhancing creativity will be highlighted, including traditional logic-based tools, TRIZ, and Nescience. The presentation will also explore the unique features and advantages of AI in enhancing creativity, such as its lack of susceptibility to social control and psychological risk aversion, as well as its ability to adopt diverse perspectives and generate massive amounts of ideas. AI's powerful search capabilities and fast computational speed further enhance its utility in creative problem-solving and its special advantages and capabilities make it a valuable tool for assisting humans in developing new insights and solutions, with successful applications already seen in the automotive industry and medical diagnosis.
