At the invitation of the School of Management and Economics, Dr Yi Zhang, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Science and Technology in Sydney, Australia, delivered an academic report entitled "Intelligent Bibliometrics: Models and Applications" through online conference at 1:00 p.m. on October 7, 2022. The report was hosted by Mr. Chen Hongshu from the Department of Management Science and Logistics, and more than 50 teachers and students participated in the report.
Dr. Yi Zhang first introduced the mainstream research methods, research issues and discipline frontiers in the field of bibliometrics and scientific metrology, and then put forward the concept of "Intelligent Bibliometrics", focusing on the topic of "how to combine artificial intelligence, data science and bibliometrics, and practical issues in the field of scientific and technological innovation". Dr. Yi Zhang demonstrated the relevant applications of Intelligent Bibliometrics Modeling through two cases: 1. Analyze emerging common technologies by using double-layer bibliometrics network; 2. Use the method based on stream data analysis to detect the topic splitting, evolution and recovery of COVID-19 in the early stage. At last, Dr. Yi Zhang had a heated discussion with teachers and students, and gave detailed answers to the model selection, result verification and other issues in the process of writing the paper.Dr. Yi Zhang:
