About the speaker:
Member of the European Academy of Humanities and Sciences, Chair Professor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, editor-in-chief of the international journal Advances in Applied Energy, CCUS international senior expert. He received his PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden in 1991. In 2001, he was appointed as a tenured professor in Sweden. He was Director of the Department of Energy Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Lulea, Sweden, Chair Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology and the University of Meladalen, Sweden, and Director of the Center for Future Energy. He is engaged in research in the fields of renewable energy technology and low-carbon technology, energy system integration and optimization, carbon capture, utilization and storage, carbon trading, advanced power generation technology and energy storage, and energy efficient use. He has published more than 400 papers in journals including Science, Nature Energy, Nature Climate Change and other journals, cited more than 22,500 times, more than 70 anthologies, and more than 10 patents. He has won the Global Habitat Green Technology Award supported by the United Nations Environment and Development Program, the Global SWFF Award was finally nominated, the European Union Energy Islands' Award, and the Royal Swedish Engineering Science Research2Business Top100.
