On July 25,2020, the International Symposium on Smart Health and Medical Analysis was successfully held. The seminar was hosted by the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics and co-organized by the University of Waikado, New Zealand, the University of Sheffield, the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and the University of Bristol. Professor Gao Guodong of the University of Maryland, Professor Liang Huigang of the University of Memphis, Professor Andrew Burton-Jones of the University of Queensland and Professor Guo Xitong of Harbin University of Technology were invited to make a presentation and organized a sub-forum on five topics. The seminar was held online by Tencent conference, attracting more than 200 scholars from all over the world to participate actively.
At the opening of the meeting, opening statement was made by Professor Yan Zhijun of Beijing Institute of Technology and Professor William Yuchung Wang of Waikado University of New Zealand. Professor Yan Zhijun gave an overview of the International Symposium on Smart Health and Medical Analysis, Professor William Yuchung Wang pointed out the timeliness and importance of the seminar in the light of the global new crown epidemic. Four well-known professors brought wonderful academic reports. The topics are: AI and Healthcare, AI in Medicine:Opportunities and Challenges, Changing the Conversation on Evaluating Digital Transformation in Healthcare, Big Data in Healthcare Action. Conference Report was hosted by Professor Thomas Cheung of the University of North Carolina, Professor William Yuchung Wang of the University of Waikado, New Zealand, and Associate Professor Luke Yuonghoon Chang, Beijing Institute of Technology. The participants discussed the contents of the report in depth.
