On the morning of July 10, the second summer school of the School of Management and Economics in 2020 successfully closed. Professor Wang Zhaohua, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Professor Yan Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Zhao Xian, Vice Dean, Associate Professor Lu Xin, Assistant Dean, heads of departments and distinguished guests of the summer school, Professor Hu Ming of the University of Toronto, Associate Professor Cao Jiguo, Department of Statistics and Actuarial, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada, and well-known accounting scholars attended the online closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Zhao Xian.
Secretary Yan Zhijun first expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts on behalf of the School. He said the summer school aims to create a high-end academic exchange platform to enhance the scientific research literacy of teachers and students. In the past 10 days, online reports have been full, reaching the platform's upper limit of 300 participants. Experts and listeners interact enthusiastically, and teachers and students respond strongly. There were a total of 11 academic reports covering statistics and data analysis, economic and financial, operational management, supply chain management, strategic management, e-commerce, energy and climate economy, organizational behavior management, accounting and other directions. Experts guided research methods, shared frontier advice, provided new ideas for cross-integration.
Many experts also said that they were very happy to participate in the Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics summer school activities. Thanks to the invitation and organization of the School, providing a platform for mutual exchange and mutual learning. We also look forward to visiting the School offline after the epidemic, having more exchanges and cooperation with teachers and students, focusing on scientific research and colliding with academic views.
