On the afternoon of July 5, 2018, Professor Laurence Larghi, Professor Eytan Zysman, Professor Sheena Suresh Puthen Veetil of India, Dr. Yang Tianan of the School and Wang Jiangkun of the Professional Degree Center and students of the CIS project went to the colorful butterfly garden in Shunyi, Beijing to conduct research.
Located in Shunyi, Beijing, Colorful Butterfly Garden is a large-scale living butterfly ornamental garden. It covers an area of more than 1,000 acres and has more than 30 species of famous butterfly breeding, with an annual output of about 5 million butterflies. The butterfly has been a symbol of beauty since ancient times and is known as the "flying flower." However, with the advancement of urbanization, the butterfly has gradually become a childhood memory... As a key project of Beijing's cultural and creative industries, the colorful butterfly garden emerged bringing together butterfly breeding, ornamental, popular science education and other cultures. It is one of the only parent-child science education bases in the country.
