On June 21, 2018, the "TRPACE-IS Frontier Issues Symposium" hosted by the School of Management and Economics was held in the main building room 133. A number of professors and graduate students from the National University of Singapore, the University of Minnesota, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing Foreign Studies University and many other universities attended the seminar.
Prof. Mao Jiye, Dean of the School of Business of Renmin University of China, and Yan Zhijun, Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics of Beijing Institute of Technology, respectively, expressed their warm welcome to the experts, professors and classmates attending the meeting on behalf of the organizers.
The "TRPACE-IS Frontier Issues Symposium" is divided into two phases. The first stage was hosted by Professor Yan Zhijun from Beijing Institute of Technology. Dr. Zhou Jili from Peking University and Dr. Zhu Xiaolin from Renmin University of China gave an academic report and shared their recent research work. Dr. Zhou Jilei mainly introduced the effectiveness of recommending diversification in the consumer purchase process. Dr. Zhu Xiaolin mainly introduced how IT capabilities can support the rapid delivery of big data services across industries.
The second stage was hosted by Professor Zuo Meiyun from Renmin University of China. Dr. Qiao Xinxin from Beijing Institute of Technology and Dr. He Yumei from Tsinghua University gave an academic report and shared their recent research work. Dr. Qiao Xinxin mainly introduced the impact of the diversity of expert teams in the online health community on doctors' performance. Dr. He Yumei mainly introduced the influence of model appeal on the effectiveness of online reviews.
