Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation Committee officially announced the 2020 National excellent Youth Science Foundation funded project list. Dr. Qu Shen of our school was funded by the project.
Dr. Qu Shen is currently a special researcher at the School of Management and Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, Doctoral supervisor. Former postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan Dow Sustainable Development (Dow Sustainability Postdoctoral Fellow). The main research interests include economic assessment of environmental risks, energy-water-food linkages, and sustainable urban development. He has published over 40 papers so far, Among them more than 20 papers is the first / correspondent author published in Nature Communications, Global Environmental Change, Environmental Science &Technology, Applied Energy and other first-class journals . The results are applied to the research and development of the first environmental pollution liability insurance wind control system in China, the trading of carbon emission rights in the power industry, and the overall optimization of resources elements in megacities. Won the Dow Chemical Sustainable Development Postdoctoral Award, China Society of Industrial Ecology Young Scholars Award, Selected Environmental Science &Technology career early scientist outstanding contribution paper list.
Since the National Natural Science Foundation Committee first established the excellent Youth Science Foundation in 2012, five young teachers in our school have been funded by the National excellent Youth Science Foundation. The School will also continue to encourage and support the grands application of young teachers at the institutional level in order to promote the development of young teachers, implement the outline of the national medium- and long-term talent development plan, strengthen the training of innovative young talents, and build a high-level and high-level faculty.
