On December 15,2024, the 2024 annual meeting of Beijing Operations Research Society, hosted by Beijing Operations Research Society and organized by the School of Management and Institute of Science and Technology of Beijing Institute of Technology, was held in the lecture hall, Building 7, Zhongguancun Campus of Beijing Institute of Technology. Nearly 300 delegates attended the meeting.

Beijing institute of Technology party committee member, vice president Wang Bencong, Beijing Association for Science and Technology researcher Zhang Hong, Chinese Institute of Operations director Dai Yuhong, and vice executive director Zhang Qiang, Beijing Institute of Technology party committee member, vice President Wei Yiming, dean Tang Baojun, etc. Attended the meetng.  The meeting was hosted by Cui Chunsheng, the eighth secretary-general of Beijing operations Research Society.

Academician Chen Xiaohong, Researcher Dai Yuhong, respectively delivered special reports entitled "Innovation and Application of Resources, Energy and Environment Management" and "Theory and Application Progress of Integer Planning".

During the youth academic forum, Professor Cao Zhigang of Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Li Jian of Beijing University of Technology, and Associate Professor Han Te of Beijing Institute of Technology shared the latest research results.

In the selection of 2024 Youth Excellent Paper of Beijing Operations Research Society, Cui Chunfeng, Zhang Gongbo of the teacher group, and Wang Kaimin, Wang Guihao, Zhang Yanhao, Zeng Yun and Liu Mingda of the student group won the Youth Excellent Paper Award.

Subsequently, the first meeting of the ninth Council of the Beijing Operations Research Society voted to elect the standing director and the new leadership group. Professor Tang Baojun was elected as the chairman, 9 experts including Professor Liu Ke and Professor Niu Dongxiao were elected as the vice chairman, Professor Zhao Yutao was elected as the secretary general, and 27 experts including Professor Cao Zhigang and Professor Fan Kun were elected as the executive directors.
