In order to facilitate collegiate management and the mentor system, School of Management and Economics held the “Three Completion” mentor engagement ceremony on 18th, November. Zhihong Zhang——the school’s secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, Yiming Wei——dean of School of Management and Economics, as well as the academic mentors, the moral education mentors and academic education mentors of School of Management and Economics, along with members of party and government joint committee, head teachers of the class of School of Management and Economics 2018, instructors and all members of students attended this ceremony. The engagement ceremony was hosted by the party secretary, Yihua Wang.
Zhihong Yang pointed out, the reason for the implementation of “Three Completion education” personnel training reformation project is to build the structure of “full member, full process, full direction”, nurture students’ growth, fuel students’ potential and foster the construction of 211 university project. He highly approve the concept of “knowledgeable, proficient in management, independent thinking, good at communication, to the higher good and team cooperation, global view, bear responsibility” and made requirements for students of School of Management and Economics.
During the engagement ceremony, Zhijun Yan——academic vice dean of School of Management and Economics, announced the engagement decision. Yiming Wei, dean of the school of economics and management , and members of the party and government joint conference of the school have awarded appointment letters to academic mentors, moral education mentors, academic education mentors and peer mentorss. The representatives of academic advisor Shiwei Sun and peer advisor Changjing Ji delivered speeches.
Ever since the School of Management and Economics has been established, in accordance with the "three completion" mentor work requirements, it has selected and appointed actively, establishing a mentor team with academic mentors, moral education mentors, education mentors, peer mentors and general education mentors, including 6 academic mentors, 12 moral education mentors, 102 education mentors, 133 peer mentors. Academic mentors are selected from well-known scholars and equipped with a teacher-to-student ratio of no less than 1:50. Through a series of activities such as "face to face with famous teachers", they guide students to firm their ideals and beliefs and establish the spirit of scientific innovation. Moral education mentors consist of leaders of the school, the united front work department of the party committee, the office of the discipline inspection commission, the inspection office of the party committee, the supervision office, the audit office, the department of sports and other departments. Each administrative class is equipped with one mentor. They participate in class activities in various ways to guide students' thinking and cultivate their leadership. Education mentors are selected from college full-time teachers, experimental class of administration according to 1:1, accounting (chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools) by 1:30, ethnic minority preparatory classes by 1:10, sports excellence class by 1:20. Through "management scholars forum", "struggle story" series share salon and "academic experience camp" series of activities, trainings of professional guidance, academic guidance, scientific research and practical guidance are developed. Peer mentors are selected from the outstanding senior students, outstanding master students and doctoral students of the school. Three students are assigned to each administrative class. Through a series of activities such as "double selection of mentors" and "partnership growth plan", peer education and guidance are conducted. General tutors and external tutors are selected from well-known scholars and outstanding alumni in interdisciplinary fields. They guide students to broaden their knowledge and horizon and enhance their sense of innovation by guiding mobile classroom visits, participating in career figure sharing and other activities.
School of Management and Economics implements the education mode of "school system", vigorously promotes the construction of the "three completion" mentor team, and constructs the education system in a multi-dimensional way. With the help of "three completion" mentor's equipment, students’ moral, intellectual, physical, beautiful labor all-round developments will be promoted. As the school system continues to advance, various types of mentors will emphasize particularly on the development of education work through a variety of ways, promoting students value model, cultivation of knowledge and innovation ability, training students to have the "knowledgeable, proficient in management, independent thinking, good at communication, to the higher good and team cooperation, global view, bear responsibility" characteristics of excellent management talents.
